Hama-Rikyu is an Edo-period landscape garden on Tokyo Bay, laid out on the site of a 17th-century shogunal villa, with a tidal pond that rises and falls with the sea and a teahouse standing out over the water. Admission is ¥300, or ¥150 for visitors aged 65 and over, and the garden opens 9:00–17:00 with last admission at 16:30. It closes 29 December to 1 January.
