Hakone Yuryo is a day-use hot spring near Hakone-Yumoto, with open-air baths set among forest and a number of private baths that can be rented by the hour. Entry is ¥1,800 on weekdays and up to ¥2,200 at weekends, and it opens 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, closing an hour later on Saturdays and Sundays. It is seven minutes' walk from Tonosawa Station. Since 1 April 2025 the bath has admitted guests with tattoos: the operator lifted its tattoo restriction outright and says so on its own site, rather than allowing them under a cover-up rule. That applies here and not to Hakone generally — other bathhouses in the same valley still refuse.
