The railway crossing beside Kamakurakokomae Station on the Enoden line is the setting recreated in the opening of the 'Slam Dunk' anime, where Hanamichi Sakuragi and Haruko meet at a crossing with the sea and Enoshima behind them. The green-and-cream Enoden trains pass a level crossing that opens directly onto the Shonan coastline, matching the famous shot almost exactly. It is one of Japan's most photographed anime pilgrimage spots and draws visitors from across Asia.
