Tonogayato Garden is a small cliff-line garden in suburban Kokubunji, laid out in 1915 on the natural Musashino terrace around a spring-fed pond, with a bamboo grove and a tea house on the slope above. The change in level does the work of a much larger garden. Its maples turn a brilliant red over the water in late autumn.
