Gongendo Park
県営権現堂公園Saitama · Kanto
Gongendo Park is a Saitama prefectural park strung along the Gongendo embankment at Satte, an earthwork first raised in 1576 to hold back the Gongendo River. It is divided into four areas covering ball fields, a campground, a wooded rest park and the embankment walk itself. About a thousand Somei-Yoshino cherry trees line a kilometre of the embankment, and hydrangeas, sunflowers and red spider lilies follow through the rest of the year.
