Kitanomaru Park occupies the northern bailey of the old Edo Castle grounds, just north of the Imperial Palace, and two of the castle's original gates still stand at its edges. It is free and open at all hours; the moat running alongside it is where the rowing boats are, and where the heaviest cherry-blossom crowds go. It is a short walk from Kudanshita Station.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
