Oku-Nikko Yumoto Onsen

Oku-Nikko Yumoto Onsen is the hot-spring settlement at the far end of the Nikko park road, beyond Lake Chuzenji and the Senjogahara marsh, and it is the final stop on the Tobu bus route up from Nikko. The village is free to walk and never closes; the individual inns charge separately for day-use bathing. Its altitude makes it markedly colder than Nikko town, and snow lies here well into spring.
