- The trail has no gate and no admission, but it is an unlit earth path through woods with roots, steps and steep sections — treat it as a daylight walk and allow about 1.5–2 hours end to end.
- CHECK BEFORE YOU GO: Kamakura's hiking courses close for long periods after storm damage and landslides, and this one has been shut in the past.

How to get there
A point-to-point trail, so go by train and walk it one way. The southern end is a few minutes uphill from Hase Station (Enoden) beside Kotoku-in; the northern end is at Jochi-ji, about 8 minutes on foot from Kita-Kamakura Station (JR Yokosuka Line). Most people walk north to south and finish at the Great Buddha. Driving is the wrong tool here — you would have to return to the car.
