Sainokawara Open-Air Bath

西の河原露天風呂

Gunma · Kanto

Sainokawara Rotenburo is a large open-air public bath at the top of Sainokawara Park, roughly a 12-minute walk west of the Yubatake through a valley of steaming streams and rocks. At around 500 square meters and separated into men's and women's sides, it is one of the biggest rotenburo in the region and can hold about 100 bathers at once.

Why we picked it

Reaching it means walking the whole length of Sainokawara Park past open-flowing hot streams, so the bath itself feels like the reward at the end of a geothermal trail rather than a roadside stop.
