Jimbocho Book Town

Jimbocho is the world's largest concentration of second-hand bookshops, packed into the blocks around the Yasukuni-dori and Hakusan-dori crossing in Chiyoda. Published counts vary with what is being counted — around 130 dedicated antiquarian dealers, and roughly 170 to 200 bookshops in total once new-book and specialist stores are included. Most of the old shops face north, to keep the sun off the stock. Many are closed on Sundays, and some shut at 18:00.
