A soba house in the Nagahata hamlet of Nikko, milling, cutting and boiling on the day — the 'santate' of its name — with buckwheat grown in the surrounding fields. The house pour is a large mori served on a wooden tray; it is a rural detour rather than a stop on the shrine circuit, and it sells out and closes when the day's flour is gone.
