Old Chichibu Bridge (Anohana Bridge)

This disused arched bridge over the Arakawa River is the landmark bridge that recurs throughout the anime 'Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day' (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai), where the childhood friends of the Super Peace Busters gather. Chichibu is the show's real-world setting, and the old bridge — now closed to cars and used as a pedestrian path — appears in key scenes and the opening. Visitors can walk the same span and see the newer Chichibu bridge running alongside it.
