Jozankei Onsen
定山渓温泉Hokkaido
Jozankei Onsen is a hot-spring town in a wooded river gorge about 30 minutes by bus from central Sapporo, close enough to be a day trip rather than an overnight one. Walking the town is free; day-use bathing at the individual ryokan is charged separately. Autumn, when the gorge turns, is the busiest season.
