Senkoji Park
千光寺公園Hiroshima · Chugoku
Senkoji Park covers the slope above Onomichi, reached by a short ropeway or on foot through the lanes of temples and cats that thread up the hillside. Its 63-metre observation deck, PEAK, looks straight down the Onomichi Channel to the islands beyond. A path of stones inscribed with haiku runs back down through the park to the town.
