A free public avenue of ginkgo trees crossing Hokkaido University's Sapporo campus, walkable at any hour of any day. For roughly ten days from late October the trees turn solid yellow and the university closes the road to traffic for its Golden Leaf Festival; outside that fortnight it is a quiet campus street rather than a destination in itself, best combined with the university's botanical garden or museum.
