The Osaka Museum of History occupies the upper floors of a tower beside Osaka Castle, working downwards floor by floor from the ancient city to the modern one, with windows looking straight across at the castle itself. It opens 9:30 AM–5:00 PM and closes on Tuesdays, and over 28 December–4 January. It is eight minutes' walk from Tanimachi 4-chome Station.
