Toyooka Kaban Street

Kaban Street is a shopping street in Chuomachi, central Toyooka, given over to the city's bag and luggage industry, the largest in Japan by output. Shops along it sell locally made bags, take custom orders and carry out repairs, and the street is fitted out with bag-themed benches, postboxes and a bag vending machine. Individual shops set their own hours, so the street has no single opening time.
