Osaka · Kansai
Shitenno-ji was first founded in 593, which makes it one of the oldest Buddhist foundations in Japan, and its Honbo garden is ticketed separately from the main precinct at ¥300 for adults. The garden opens 8:30 AM–4:00 PM. The temple grounds themselves, with the five-storey pagoda and the turtle ponds, are entered on their own ticket.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
