A vivid red sea-cliff on Chiburijima's west coast, roughly 1km long and rising 50-200m -- the eroded cross-section of a volcanic crater that erupted about 6 million years ago. Nationally designated Place of Scenic Beauty and Natural Monument, within Daisen-Oki National Park.
