Hiroshima Castle, also known as Carp Castle, is a historic site that showcases traditional Japanese architecture. The castle was originally built in the 16th century and has been reconstructed after its destruction during World War II, offering visitors a glimpse into Japan's feudal past. Note (updated 2026-07-06): the main keep (Tenshukaku) has been closed to visitors since March 2026 for safety works; the surrounding grounds, moat, and Ninomaru area remain open.
