Hokkaido
The Tokachi Farm birch avenue is a straight 1.3-kilometre gravel drive lined with white birch at the entrance to the National Livestock Breeding Center's Tokachi Farm in Otofuke. The trees were planted by farm staff around seventy years ago and the town has designated the avenue a fine woodland. The avenue, a hilltop observation deck and the paddocks visible from the road are open to visitors free of charge, while the working areas of the farm are closed to the public.
