Yoichi Space Museum is a space-science centre inside the Space Apple Yoichi roadside station, in the home town of Mamoru Mohri, the first Japanese astronaut to fly aboard the Space Shuttle. Exhibits cover astronaut training, spacecraft hardware and life in orbit, with hands-on displays aimed at families. It stands on the opposite bank of the Yoichi River from the Nikka whisky distillery, about a kilometre from Yoichi Station.
