Sarusawa Pond

Sarusawa Pond lies directly below Kofuku-ji in Nara, and the classic view from its bank is that temple's five-storey pagoda reflected in the water. A path runs right around the pond and the circuit takes about fifteen minutes. It is free and open at all hours, nine minutes' walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station.
