Otaru Canal
小樽運河Hokkaido
A 1,140m former cargo waterway completed in 1923, lined on its south bank by preserved stone and brick warehouses now repurposed as shops, cafes and restaurants, with a walking promenade along the north bank. At dusk, 63 gas lamps along the canal light up and reflect on the water, making it Otaru's signature evening photo spot.
