Mie · Kansai
Inabe Bairin is the plum grove of Inabe Agricultural Park, laid out on terraced hillside in the Fujiwara district of northern Mie beneath the Suzuka range. It is one of the largest plum plantings in the Tokai region, combining a working fruit-plum orchard with an ornamental plum garden in landscape style. The wider agricultural park around it holds a 36-hole park-golf course, allotment plots and a buffet restaurant using local vegetables. The plums flower from late February to mid-March, when the grove is opened for a ticketed plum festival.
