The Obihiro Centennial City Museum is the municipal museum of Obihiro, covering the natural history, archaeology and settlement history of the Tokachi plain. Its permanent exhibition runs from the region's geology and prehistoric sites through Ainu culture to the pioneer farming period that shaped the modern landscape. The building also houses Riuka, an Ainu cultural information centre that is free to enter, and stands in Midorigaoka Park southwest of Obihiro Station.
