Rusutsu Resort

Hokkaido's largest single ski resort, spread across three linked peaks — West, East and Isola — with four gondolas, fourteen lifts and 37 marked courses reached from one base. The east side holds long, wide groomers and the Isola face keeps the tree runs and the deepest snow; the whole mountain looks across the valley to the cone of Mount Yotei. The resort runs as a self-contained village of hotels, restaurants and an indoor pool, with night skiing on the lower slopes.
