Hokkaido
A warm-water river fed by hot springs on the flank of Mount Io, tumbling over a series of falls that visitors wade and climb barefoot or in grippy shoes; the Ainu name means "water of the gods." Reached along a rough seasonal road deep inside the park, usually via a shuttle bus when the road is closed to private cars.
Usual hours — confirm with the official site for holidays + seasonal closures.
