Hokkaido
Hachiman-zaka is the most photographed of Motomachi's slopes — a broad, tree-lined avenue that drops straight toward Hakodate Port, framing the water and the moored former ferry Mashu-maru at its foot. The view down the slope, especially when the paving stones are lit at dusk or dusted with snow, is one of Hakodate's signature images.
