Susukino District
すすきのHokkaido
Susukino is Sapporo's nightlife district and it runs on a night clock: izakaya open around 17:00–18:00, bars run to roughly 2:00 AM, and the ramen shops of Ramen Yokocho trade until dawn. The streets are busiest between about 21:00 and 01:00 — by day the district is quiet and most of its character is shuttered. Walking through costs nothing, and Sunday and Monday are the commonest closing days for the smaller bars.
