Shikisai-no-Oka is a hillside of flower fields near Biei, planted in broad bands of colour running down the slope towards the Tokachi mountains. Admission is ¥800 for high-school age and up, but only during the July-to-September peak — entry is free the rest of the year, when there is correspondingly little in bloom. It opens 9:10 AM–4:30 PM.
