Mount Kuruhi

来日岳

Hyogo · Kansai

Mount Kuruhi is a 567-metre peak above Kinosaki in Toyooka, with a summit viewpoint over the Toyooka basin, the Maruyama River and the San'in Kaigan coast. It is counted among the hundred mountains of Hyogo, and hiking routes reach the summit from the Kinosaki side. A rest point partway up, Kouyou-daira, has shelter, toilets and water.

Why it's hidden

The best long view over the Kinosaki valley belongs to a mountain nobody climbs, because the ropeway two kilometres away takes the traffic.
