The Otaru Music Box Museum (Otaru Orgel-do) occupies a red-brick building dating to 1902 in Otaru's historic Sakaimachi Street district, and has operated as a museum/shop since 1967. It houses roughly 25,000 music boxes ranging from antique European mechanisms to modern custom pieces, with the famous steam clock outside marking the Marchen Crossing intersection.
