Osaka Bay Area

大阪湾エリア

Osaka · Kansai

Tempozan Harbor Village on Osaka Bay: the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, one of the world's largest, sits beside the Tempozan Ferris Wheel and the ferry pier, with the bay and the Minato Bridge in front of it. Universal Studios Japan faces it across the water and is reached by the Captain Line shuttle boat in about 10 minutes, not on foot. The waterfront walk here is short and industrial rather than scenic — this is a destination for the aquarium, the wheel and the harbour crossing.

Why we picked it

Many travelers focus on central Osaka, overlooking the diverse experiences the bay area offers.
