Nara · Kansai
Yoshino Mountain has been a pilgrimage site for over 1,300 years, a sacred Shugendo landscape of temples and shrines rising in terraces above the Nara countryside, with far-reaching views and a hushed atmosphere. Around 3,000 wild cherry trees cover its slopes and bloom in succession up the mountain through early to mid-April.
