Sandan-daki Falls

Sandan-daki is the three-tiered waterfall that gives Sandankyo (Three-Step Gorge) its name and is regarded as its signature view. The Shiwagi River drops in three broad stages through a forested amphitheater of rock, filling the gorge with echoing sound. It sits deep in the gorge near the upper end of the main walking route.
