A Japan Sea fish market parked at the foot of the Myoko ski mountains, attached to the Arai roadside station and reachable directly from the expressway service area. Whole fish, crab and uni come down from the Joetsu and Itoigawa ports twenty-odd kilometres north, and the attached dining room serves the same catch as sashimi and rice bowls. For a ski trip based at Myoko or Seki Onsen it is the nearest real seafood counter, about twenty minutes from the slopes.
