Mitsukejima
見附島Ishikawa · Chubu
A wedge-shaped islet of white rock off the Suzu shore, nicknamed Battleship Island for the prow it turns towards the beach, reachable at low tide along a line of stepping stones. The January 2024 earthquake brought down a substantial part of its face, so the silhouette is no longer the one in older photographs.
