A vast grassy plain roughly 1km across, filling an old collapsed crater inside the Aso caldera, with a shallow pond at its center and grazing horses and cattle. It sits directly below the smoking cone of Naka-dake and is the single most-photographed view in the Aso-Kuju National Park.
