A green headland on the north coast of Amami Oshima overlooking a shallow coral reef, named because the rolling grass slope reminded locals of a temari ball ('ayamaru'). The clifftop park has a panoramic observation deck over the East China Sea, tide pools, and a small seaside leisure area, and is one of the first places on the island to catch the sunrise.
