Monzen Sojiji Temple is the head temple of the Soto Zen sect, surrounded by a serene cedar grove that houses 70 sub-temples. This tranquil site offers a glimpse into Zen Buddhist practices and architecture, making it a peaceful retreat for visitors seeking spiritual solace. Heavily damaged in the January 2024 Noto earthquake, the temple reopened to visitors in April 2025, but restoration is ongoing and parts of the grounds remain fenced off.
