Togari Onsen Snow Resort

Togari Onsen's ski area climbs the west face of Mount Kenashi above the rice terraces of Iiyama, a quiet local mountain of wide, well-groomed intermediate runs served by a handful of lifts and backed by a small hot-spring hamlet at the base. It is one of the cheapest lift tickets in northern Nagano and rarely queues, which has made it a fixture for Japanese ski clubs and school groups rather than international visitors. Lifts usually run from late December to late March, with dates set by snowfall each season.
