Enryaku-ji Temple

Enryaku-ji Temple is the head temple of the Tendai sect located in Sakamoto Honmachi, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It encompasses the entire area of Mount Hiei, which stands at an elevation of 848 meters and is designated as a national treasure, a nationally designated historic site, and a component of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
