Beppu Ropeway / Mt. Tsurumi Summit
別府ロープウェイ・鶴見岳山上Oita · Kyushu
The Beppu Ropeway carries visitors 1.8km up the flank of Mount Tsurumi (1,375m), climbing nearly 800m in about 10 minutes. The summit observation deck gives panoramic views over Beppu Bay and the Kunisaki Peninsula, and the peak is one of the few places in Kyushu where winter hoarfrost forms on the trees.
