Shiraito Falls (Itoshima)
白糸の滝Fukuoka · Kyushu
A 24-metre waterfall on the slopes of Mount Haganeyama in southern Itoshima, its water fanning down the rockface like fine white threads (shiro-ito). The surrounding 'Fureai-no-sato' park has a teahouse, water wheel and observatory. In summer visitors try yamame fishing and flowing somen noodles.
