土湯別邸 里の湯

Fukushima · Tohoku

土湯別邸 里の湯 is a hot spring ryokan in Tsuchiyu Onsen, a spring town in the mountains west of Fukushima City, built around a naturally flowing (源泉かけ流し) source rather than a recirculated supply. Guest rooms come with their own open-air bath or a detached cottage, meals are served in the room, and the property also keeps private chartered baths for guests who want the water alone. It closes Tuesdays and Wednesdays outside peak season.

Why it's hidden

It sits in a spring town most itineraries skip entirely in favour of the bigger-name Tohoku onsen, reached by a 45-minute bus ride most travellers never take out of Fukushima City.

Admission
A private ryokan; day-trip bathing and room rates are not published as fixed figures on the operator's site — contact the property directly. No tattoo policy is stated anywhere on the operator's own site, so this row is NOT tagged tattoo-friendly.
