Kushida Shrine
櫛田神社Fukuoka · Kyushu
Kushida Shrine was founded in 757 and is the home shrine of the Hakata Gion Yamakasa, the float race run through Fukuoka every July; one of the towering decorated floats stands in the grounds for much of the year. Entry is free and the grounds are open 9:00–17:00.
