Nihondaira is a hilly area and scenic spot located on the boundary between Suruga Ward and Shimizu Ward in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture. The name comes from a legend involving Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, who is said to have looked around from the summit during his eastern expedition.
