Shinetsu Trail
信越トレイルNagano · Chubu
A long-distance ridge trail on the Nagano–Niigata border, running the Sekida range from Madarao-yama in the east towards Naeba-san, through beech forest, hillside villages and some of the deepest snow country in Japan. It is walked in sections rather than in one go, and the Madarao end is the usual starting point.
