Mt. Tonobo

十坊山

Fukuoka · Kyushu

A 535m mountain at the western edge of Itoshima, the northern terminus of the Sefuri range. Its summit is crowned by a huge boulder called Banbura-iwa that hikers scramble onto for a 360-degree view of the Genkai Sea coastline and, on clear days, distant islands.

Why it's hidden

One of Itoshima's quieter peaks on the Saga border, known mainly to regional hikers chasing the boulder-top sea view.
